Job title: Die Cutter

Location: Sandusky, OH

Shift: 3rd (four 10 hour days) (training hours on 1 st are 4 am to 2 pm Monday through Thursday)(3 rd shift hours are 6 pm to 4 am Monday night through Friday morning)

Salary: $20.50 an hour (training on 1 st . Once moved to 3 rd shift there will be an additional 50 cent shift premium)

Job description:

• Adheres to paperwork information per customer specs and accurately follows job bag information for each customer
• Precisely inputs production information into the manufacturing software following work instructions and using basic computer knowledge
• Sets up blanker/cutter in a timely matter for cutting of folded cartons by places cutting die and adjusts machine for thickness of material or depth of die in line with customer specs
• Runs, monitor and make-adjustments for production by feeding stock into the cutting machine at speed required by job specs
• Remove cut loads from delivery of machine
• Preforms measurements of parts to ensure conformance to specifications and troubleshoots quality problems involving supervisor when needed
• Performs maintenance general and preventative maintenance to keep machinery in good standing to produce quality parts
• Ensures work area is kept clean: tools returned to place, floors free from debris
• Communicates as necessary with Plant Manager/Shift Supervisor, Die Makers and Office staff in an effective and professional manner to ensure smooth production, reduction of machine downtime and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

• Stable previous work history
• 2 years die cutting experience
• Ability to read and understand production documents
• Good math skills
• Forklift experience a plus
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to pass a preemployment screening
