The Critical Facility Manager is responsible for the safe, reliable, and compliant operation of all mission‐critical infrastructure at a large‐scale data center. This role provides direct, on‐site leadership for a diverse technical organization supporting electrical, mechanical, controls, and life‐safety systems. The position emphasizes operational excellence, people development, and continuous improvement while ensuring uninterrupted service delivery and strict adherence to service level commitments.

Core Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain a strong safety culture across all facility operations.
- Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary team including technicians, engineers, subject matter experts, and first‐line leaders.
- Ensure continuous availability and reliability of all critical systems, meeting or exceeding customer SLAs.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory, environmental, and safety requirements.
- Define operational objectives, performance metrics, and KPIs, and drive results against those goals.
- Champion standardization, operational consistency, and industry best practices.
- Ensure all preventive and corrective maintenance is executed in alignment with internal policies, manufacturer recommendations, and industry standards.
- Own the creation, execution, and ongoing refinement of operating procedures and emergency response plans.
- Take command during major infrastructure incidents, leading internal teams and external partners to rapid stabilization and recovery.
- Manage vendor relationships, including performance oversight, cost control, and selection or termination decisions.
- Provide consistent on‐site leadership and technical direction to operations personnel.
- Directly manage technical subject matter experts (electrical, mechanical, and controls) and first‐line operations management.
- Oversee performance management, development planning, and succession planning for the data center operations team.
- Build and sustain a collaborative, high‐performance culture focused on accountability, respect, and operational excellence.
- Promote continuous professional growth and skills development at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated commitment to employee safety, engagement, development, and operational readiness.
- Ten (10) or more years of experience supporting mission‐critical or critical facilities operations.
- An ABET‐accredited bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology may substitute for up to four (4) years of experience.
- At least two (2) years of experience as a first‐line manager or senior technical expert within a critical environment.
- Proven ability to mentor and develop supervisors in a multidisciplinary technical organization.
- Experience serving as a primary decision‐maker in complex, cross‐functional operational situations.
- Strong working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, controls, fire suppression, and fire alarm systems.
- Ability to lead and manage high‐pressure incident response and recovery efforts.
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to address complex or sensitive operational matters.
- Proficiency with standard business software including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Willingness to pursue ongoing professional development and advanced technical or leadership credentials.
- ABET‐accredited bachelor's degree in engineering or engineering technology.
- Master HVAC or Master Electrician license.
- Working knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with CMMS, DCIM platforms, and power monitoring or metering systems.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
- Experience supporting the design review, commissioning, and acceptance of mission‐critical systems.
- Prior experience in large‐scale or enterprise data center environments.

Salary : $180,000
