A growing industrial manufacturer is seeking a detail-oriented BILINGUAL (English/Spanish) professional to run payroll and benefits for our production workforce, with payroll accuracy and timeliness as the heart of the role. You'll be the first point of contact for employees with pay and benefits questions, while keeping our records accurate, compliant, and confidential. You'll work closely with the HRIS & Payroll Manager to make sure employees are paid correctly and on time and have the support they need to use their benefits. Must be well organized, discreet with confidential information, service minded and easy to talk to.

🎯 What You'll Do
💵 Payroll (Primary Focus)
- Run payroll each week or every other week for both hourly and salaried team members
- Check time and attendance data for errors, confirming that regular hours, overtime, PTO, and leave are coded correctly
- Catch and fix discrepancies before each payroll is finalized
- Handle pay changes, raises, deductions, bonus payouts, and back-pay corrections
- Keep payroll files and supporting documents organized and current
- Reconcile payroll records, journal entries, and tax liabilities in QuickBooks
- Help with payroll tax filings, garnishments, wage assignments, and direct deposit setup
- Answer employee pay questions quickly and resolve issues
- Assist with year-end tasks, including preparing and distributing W-2s
- Manage employee benefit offerings, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, retirement, and wellness programs
- Process new enrollments, life-event changes, terminations, and beneficiary updates
- Explain plan options and answer benefits questions in clear, approachable language
- Lead benefits orientation sessions for new hires
- Help plan and carry out annual open enrollment, from communications to final processing
- Work with insurance carriers and third-party administrators to resolve employee issues
- Verify that benefit deductions on paychecks are correct
- Keep enrollment records current and process changes promptly
- Follow applicable payroll and benefits laws, company policy, and reporting deadlines
- Protect sensitive employee information
- Support ACA reporting and compliance work
- Help prepare documentation for internal and external audits
- Maintain organized digital and paper files
- Enter and update employee records in the HRIS
- Process hires, promotions, transfers, pay changes, and separations
- Run regular data audits for accuracy and completeness
- Build payroll, benefits, and workforce reports on request
- Contribute to system testing, upgrades, and process improvements
✅ Qualifications
- Fluency in both English and Spanish, spoken and written
- At least 3 years of hands-on payroll and benefits administration
- Experience with payroll in a manufacturing or multi-shift setting
- Familiarity with HRIS, payroll, and timekeeping platforms
- Experience supporting open enrollment and benefits administration
- Working knowledge of payroll practices, wage-and-hour rules, and benefits administration
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks
- Associate's degree in HR, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (relevant experience in place of a degree will be considered)
