The ideal candidate will have experience in architectural drafting or technical design and possess a collaborative mindset, strong attention to detail, and an understanding of constructability. You’ll work cross-functionally with engineering, fabrication, manufacturing, and project management teams to deliver coordinated, buildable solutions that meet both aesthetic and structural requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Drafting & Modeling

  • Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, and construction details aligned with internal standards and client expectations.
  • Interpret structural and architectural drawings to produce practical, code-compliant design solutions.
  • Assist in 2D and 3D layout development for attachment systems and rainscreen assemblies.

Material Take-Offs, Drawing Releases & Tagging

  • Conduct accurate material take-offs based on architectural layouts and system conditions.
  • Generate, manage, and track tag drawings and releases to align with project scope and timelines.
  • Verify releases for consistency in layout, quantity, and fabrication details.
  • Ensure completeness and accuracy of all documentation before release to support production planning.

Project Execution & Technical Coordination

  • Review project documents to validate scope and ensure design execution accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to address constructability challenges and align on technical solutions.
  • Implement redline corrections and maintain timely updates across all deliverables.
  • Coordinate drawing status and updates with relevant stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Standards & Quality Control

  • Adhere to established drafting standards in both AutoCAD and Revit environments.
  • Participate in quality checks and peer reviews to ensure documentation accuracy and clarity.
  • Help identify and resolve discrepancies before drawing release.
  • Perform quality assurance on peer-created drawings and take-offs.

Continuous Improvement & KPI Ownership

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as accuracy, timeliness, and redline correction rates.
  • Proactively identify and resolve inefficiencies in drafting workflows.
  • Contribute ideas for improving templates, tools, and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in departmental initiatives focused on quality and operational excellence.
