Well-established and reputable company located a bit West of Albany is hiring for a Manufacturing Engineer to join its team. This position, open due to growth, would be responsible for developing and implementing process improvements, capital projects, and production planning. General responsibilities would include:
- Evaluate manufacturing processes; maximizing efficiencies and reducing costs and waste
- Actively involved in new product development and process implementations
- Perform root cause analysis on the production floor of manufacturing equipment; designing and implementing ways to improve up-time
- Utilize lean manufacturing/continuous improvement methodologies
- Manage special engineering projects which could include new equipment installs and commissions
Candidate profile should include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
3 years of experience in a related role
Experience working with lean improvement methods (Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, etc)
Excellent communicative and organizational skills
