Nesco Resource is currently sourcing for Accessory Installers for our client in Sterling Heights, MI. This is a contract to hire opportunity.
A crew shift: 6:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday (Overtime on Sunday 6:00am to 2:00pm)
Pay rate: $19.04
(hours are subject to vary depending on production needs and overtime availability)
Brief Description of Position
The position of Accessory Installer will be responsible for removing factory installed components and/or installing new components using power tools, measuring devices and torque wrenches on customer vehicles.
Job Tasks
- Refer to weekly installation schedule to determine daily build requirements
- Utilize FIFO production system
- Install accessory components on vehicles including but not limited to:
- fender flares, front and rear bumper, underbody skid plates and fog light aiming.
- Ensure KPCs (key product characteristics) are done on bolts to verify proper torque per customer requirements.
- Ensure that work is being carried out per written work instructions and dimensional technical specifications (DTS) are met per the customer's standards.
- Identify and report all non-conforming products
- Complete a Final Inspection Check Sheet for each completed vehicle
- Must be mechanically inclined and capable of using a wide variety of hand tools, measuring devised and torque wrench
- Should be team oriented with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment and/or familiarity with TS16949 an asset
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repeatedly and independently
- Must be mechanically inclined and capable of using a wide variety of hand tools
- Knowledge of wiring installation.
