I’m currently representing a well established, employee owned engineering and systems integration company that is looking to add a Construction Project Manager to their team.
This opportunity is focused on data center and mission critical projects, with a strong preference for candidates coming from the electrical or MEP side of data center construction.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex data center projects while coordinating engineering, construction, contractors, subcontractors, and clients through project delivery and commissioning.
Location: West Texas / Lubbock or Dallas
Travel: Up to 100% depending on project needs

What you’ll be doing
- Lead projects from initiation through closeout
- Own project safety, quality, schedule, scope, and financial performance
- Manage project budgets, forecasting, scheduling, and cost control
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the client and site team
- Coordinate with engineering, electrical, MEP, construction, and field teams
- Manage vendors, contractors, and subcontractors
- Support project delivery, testing, commissioning, and turnover
- Coordinate the integration of building and electrical systems within the data center environment
- Support proposals, technical presentations, and business development
- Build strong client relationships and help drive repeat business
- Lead and mentor project and engineering teams
What they’re looking for
- 5 to 10 years of relevant project experience
- Data center or mission critical construction experience required
- Background on the electrical or MEP side of data center construction strongly preferred
- Experience managing complex projects from start to finish
- Understanding of BMS, BAS, EPMS, electrical systems, controls, and automation
- Strong knowledge of project budgets, schedules, forecasting, and cost control
- Experience coordinating engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and field teams
- Excellent client facing communication and relationship management skills
- Ability to lead teams and work effectively in a fast paced construction environment
- Strong problem solving and project coordination skills
- Willingness to work in a travel focused role with extended project assignments
- PE is preferred but not required
