Job Title: IT Sales Engineer (B2B Solutions & Growth). 

Location: Plano, TX (On-site / Field / Hybrid).

Compensation: OTE $75k

Schedule: Monday–Friday (No retail hours)

Job Summary: 

Are you a top performer in tech retail (Apple, Best Buy, Verizon) who is bored with fixing screens and ready to start building a business? NerdsToGo Plano is looking for an IT Sales Engineer to lead our B2B growth.

This is not a "help desk" job. This is a high-visibility role for someone who understands how technology drives business. You will be the face of NerdsToGo, walking into Plano’s small businesses, identifying their pain points, and engineering the solutions that help them thrive. If you have the "Gift of Gab" and the "Tech Knack," we want you to help us own the Plano market.

The Mission (What You’ll Do)

  • Technical Solution Engineering: You aren’t just selling hardware; you are designing productivity. You’ll audit local businesses' networks, security, and cloud setups to engineer a custom IT roadmap for them.

  • The Art of the Deal: You will manage the full sales cycle—from the initial "Nerd" discovery meeting to presenting the proposal and closing the contract.

  • Business Development: Actively hunt for new opportunities in the Plano area through networking and outbound outreach. You are the engine of our growth.

  • Onboarding Success: Once you close the deal, you’ll coordinate with our lead technicians to ensure the client’s transition to our services is flawless.

  • Relationship Management: Act as a trusted advisor to our business clients, ensuring they have the right technology as their companies grow.

What We’re Looking For (Sales-First Mindset)

  • The "Hunter" Mentality: You are motivated by winning. You see every local business as a potential partner and aren't afraid to walk in and start a conversation.

  • High-Level Communication: You can explain Cybersecurity and Managed Services to a CEO in a way that makes sense to their bottom line, not just their server.

  • Technical Fluency: You don't need to be a programmer, but you must be deeply comfortable with Windows/Mac environments, networking basics, and cloud concepts (Microsoft 365/Google Workspace).

  • B2B Ambition: You are ready to move out of consumer-facing retail and into the professional world of Business-to-Business consulting.
