Role Description The Medical Assistant at Neptune Medical Services will provide direct clinical and administrative support in an on-site setting located in Houston, TX. This full-time role includes preparing patients for examinations, recording vital signs, assisting clinicians with procedures, and supporting the coordination of occupational health services. Daily responsibilities also involve maintaining accurate medical records, organizing patient charts, scheduling appointments, and ensuring exam rooms and equipment are clean and stocked. The Medical Assistant will collaborate with medical and administrative teams to facilitate efficient patient flow, support compliance with clinical protocols, and deliver respectful, high-quality patient care aligned with organizational standards.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Medical Assisting and Patient Care to support clinical workflows and examinations.
  • Candidates should possess knowledge of Medical Terminology to communicate effectively with clinicians and accurately document clinical information.
  • Candidates should possess experience in a Medical Office environment, including front-desk procedures and appointment coordination.
  • Candidates should possess proficiency in managing Medical Records, including electronic health records, documentation, and data entry.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) are highly beneficial.
  • Ability to follow clinical protocols, maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA), and adhere to safety standards in an occupational health setting.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse patients and multidisciplinary teams.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited medical assistant program preferred.
