Job Summary
We are seeking a hard-working and friendly stocker to join the team at our successful store in the summer months. As a stocker, you will monitor the levels of inventory in our store and maintain appropriate inventory levels. You will increase sales by ensuring we always have sufficient levels of the products our customers desire.
Responsibilities
- Stock grocery shelves, refrigerators and freezers
- Forecast consumer trends and identify preferences of our customers
- Check in orders and put them away in storage using the first in, first out method
- Monitor the popularity of existing products
- Take out garbage for all sections of the store
- Clean high-traffic areas of the store
- Maintain clean walk-ins
- Keep track of expiring foods and document them properly
Qualifications
- No experience required, some would be preferred
- Understanding best practices in customer service and sales
- Understanding of basic cleaning skills and concepts of retail stocking
- Strong communication skills and willingness to work well with supervisor and coworkers in a team environment
