The Production Planner plays a vital role within a cross-functional team comprising procurement and manufacturing, reporting directly to the operations manager. This position supports mixed-mode production environments by utilize ERP/MRP system to manage demand forecasting, inventory, scheduling, and capacity planning; ensuring seamless operations from raw material procurement to finished goods delivery.
Responsibilities
- Forecast production demand to align resources and materials
- Manage inventory levels to optimize stock and minimize waste
- Develop and maintain production schedules aligned with customer orders, inventory levels and capacity constraints
- Plan capacity to meet production goals efficiently
- Oversee and monitor order management ensuring timely fulfillment
- Analyze production data to identify improvements and address challenges
- Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and suppliers as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment, preferably in fiber cable/wire industry
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or related field
- Proficiency with ERP systems
- Advanced Excel skills
- Expertise in demand forecasting, inventory management, and scheduling
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
- Effective time management skills
