Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Receiving Associate to join our dynamic logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing incoming shipments, verifying inventory accuracy, and ensuring smooth warehouse operations. Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders using RF scanners and warehouse management software.
- Accurately document all inbound goods through data entry into ERP systems such as AS400 or similar inventory management software.
- Load and unload trucks using equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts while adhering to safety protocols.
- Prepare items for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling orders in accordance with customer specifications and trade compliance standards.
- Maintain organized stock areas by stocking items efficiently and updating inventory records regularly to ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with warehouse distribution teams to coordinate order fulfillment, shipping logistics, and inventory replenishment.
- Conduct routine audits of inventory levels using warehouse management systems and physical counts to prevent discrepancies.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment with knowledge of warehouse operations, shipping & receiving, and inventory management is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), ERP systems like AS400 or MRP software, and inventory management software is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, RF scanners, and other warehouse equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying shipments accurately.
- Excellent data entry skills combined with customer service experience to support internal teams and external vendors.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, trade compliance standards, and shipping logistics is a plus but not required.
