Senior Accountant of Financial Reporting

We’re adding a Senior Accountant, Financial Reporting to support a growing, complex, private-equity-backed organization with an expanding international footprint. This is a new, high-impact individual contributor role designed for someone who enjoys solving complex accounting issues, writing thoughtful technical positions, and partnering closely with senior finance leadership.

You’ll play a key role in shaping accounting policies, supporting external reporting, and helping operationalize U.S. GAAP across our global entities. The role offers meaningful exposure to executive leadership, challenging technical work, and opportunities to influence how financial reporting is done—without direct people management.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare, review, and support internal and external financial reporting, including monthly close, consolidations, and audit deliverables.
• Research and document technical accounting positions, developing high-quality accounting memos and policies suitable for audit and executive review.
• Apply U.S. GAAP to complex transactions, including areas such as purchase accounting, equity compensation, leases, revenue, debt, derivatives, and goodwill.
• Partner with Group and Regional Accounting teams to operationalize U.S. GAAP for international entities, including statutory-to-GAAP adjustments.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, and Systems teams to improve close efficiency, data quality, and reporting processes.
• Support external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
• Participate in close optimization and process improvement initiatives using technology-enabled tools.
• Informally mentor junior team members and expand leadership exposure over time.
  
  

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA certification strongly preferred
• 4 years of experience in financial reporting, consolidations, and technical accounting (top-tier accounting or advisory firm preferred)
• Proficient in US GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Strong knowledge of lease accounting, goodwill impairment, debt accounting, and equity/stock compensation
• Experience with advanced accounting technologies and EPM tools such as Hyperion
