Maintenance Engineer Broadcast

The purpose of this position is to maintain electronics, computers, and other various broadcast equipment through reverse engineering and/or finding replacement parts as available and ensures all equipment is operational prior to shipment into the field and various job sites. A strong work history working with Electronic equipment is required.

We are seeking a person with a minimum 3 -5 years of experience working with equipment in the Broadcast Industry, Sports, and Entertainment.

This is a Full-Time hourly position, Monday through Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM, on-site at our Van Nuys, CA location. There will be some overtime as needed. Wage is $40 - $42 per hour.

Key Duties

• Repair, calibrate, and test electronic equipment at the component level.
• Provide technical assistance and troubleshoot various issues both in person and remotely.
• Document faults and problems with equipment and make proper orders for repairs.
• Repair and assemble various specialized copper cables as deemed necessary.
• Ensure “in progress” repairs are identified, documented, and organized.
• Supports Shop team to communicate and coordinate repairs that need to go out of house.
• Collaborate with internal Engineers to assist with custom solutions as needed.
  
  

Requirements

• Technical or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Valid US Drivers License and an ability to operate company vehicles for deliveries and movement of various equipment.
• Requires industry-related experience as a repair/maintenance technician or engineer.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of broadcast and computer technology, equipment, and facilities
• Must be able a self-motivated problem solver who thinks outside the box
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Aptitude for continuous growth of equipment knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
