Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team on 3rd shift. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient facility while performing routine maintenance and repair tasks throughout the building and warehouse. The ideal candidate will have experience with conveyor systems and a working knowledge of building maintenance, including electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and safety systems.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on facility systems and equipment.
- Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, ventilation, cooling, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform basic maintenance on conveyor systems and related equipment.
- Monitor building systems to identify maintenance needs and ensure safe operation.
- identifying and correcting potential hazards.
- Remove snow, ice, and debris from sidewalks, entrances, and dock areas when necessary.
- Move furniture, equipment, and supplies manually or with material handling equipment.
- Set up and remove tables, chairs, ladders, scaffolding, and other equipment for meetings and special events.
- Maintain inventory and request cleaning supplies, tools, and maintenance materials as needed.
- Assist with restoration and cleaning activities following fire, smoke, or water damage incidents.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED preferred.Previous maintenance experience in a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferred.Experience maintaining and troubleshooting conveyor systems is highly desirable.General knowledge of:
- Mechanical systems
- Electrical systems
- Plumbing
- Fire protection systems
- Building maintenance
- Workplace safety practices
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Work requires moderate muscular exertion and/or physical strain such as frequently climbing or, recurring bending, lifting, or lowering of items weight up to 50 pounds.
- Requires lifting/lowering, pushing, or pulling of various items of varying weight.
