Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Energy Efficiency Program Support Manager to support our mid-market commercial and industrial customer segment. This role will serve as a first-level leader and working supervisor, overseeing up to five associates and managing vendor performance while ensuring the successful delivery of energy efficiency programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily performance of internal associates and office/field vendors delivering energy efficiency programs
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, business controls, and regulatory requirements
- Lead and participate in cross-functional teams across Customer Care, Contracting, Procurement, Legal, Marketing, IT, and Operations
- Serve as a key driver of customer satisfaction and program success for commercial and industrial customers
- Ensure all program opportunities are fully pursued within each customer account
- Develop, maintain, and improve program implementation processes
- Monitor and report on Program KPIs, performance metrics, and business plan objectives
- Oversee invoice processing accuracy and vendor billing compliance
- Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
- Prepare and present program and project status reports to senior leadership
- Support special projects and storm restoration efforts as required
- Foster an inclusive and collaborative work environment
Work Environment
- Hybrid role – primarily remote with 1*-2 day per week onsite in Newark, NJ* (subject to operational needs)
- Increased onsite presence during initial training period
- Expected to be fully productive by Week 2
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Management, or a related field AND 7 years of direct experience in:
- Energy efficiency programs
- Utility programs
- Construction or related industrial fields
- OR 11 years of direct relevant experience in lieu of a degree
- 7–10 years of hands-on Energy Efficiency Program experience (EXPERT level preferred)
- Experience managing vendors and cross-functional teams
- Strong customer relationship management background
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint)
- Valid U.S. Driver’s License
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
- MBA or advanced degree
- Experience supporting Electric Vehicle (EV) Programs
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $57.00 - $60.00 per hour
