Job Responsibilities
- Receive outreach assignment emails containing letters, door hanger types, route maps, and quantities.
- Print, fold, assemble, and insert outreach letters into door hangers.
- Deliver 600–700 door hangers per day to residential and business customers across multiple municipalities.
- Walk approximately 7–10 miles per day while completing assigned deliveries.
- Place door hangers at residential properties and deliver materials directly to business owners or managers.
- Collect business owner names and contact information for potential follow-up.
- Document significant field observations and customer concerns encountered during delivery.
- Complete and submit an end-of-day checklist to the Project Coordinator.
- Report to the office during inclement weather to prepare materials for future assignments.
- Verify materials and route maps before beginning each assignment.
- Take required geotagged photos at route start/end points and along the route when requested.
- Document closed or vacant businesses with geotagged photos.
- Maintain professional and courteous interactions with customers and business representatives.
Job Requirements
- Valid New Jersey driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle.
- Ability to drive daily from the reporting location to assigned residential, business, rural, and suburban locations.
- Willingness and ability to perform door-to-door canvassing and material delivery throughout the assigned service territory.
- Ability to walk 7–10 miles per day and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to safely navigate traffic, construction zones, residential properties, and business locations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail.
- Professional, friendly, and respectful customer-facing communication.
- Ability to work 25–40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., including a 30-minute lunch.
- Ability to travel across multiple municipalities within the assigned northern or southern territory.
- Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check required.
- Ability to purchase and wear a required safety/reflective vest.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Valid NJ driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Reliable personal vehicle; mileage and tolls reimbursed.
- Ability to use a mobile device for text communication and geotagged photography.
- Ability to follow route maps, assignment instructions, safety procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Ability to maintain accuracy and integrity when distributing customer-facing materials and recording field information.
