Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer – Automotive Assembly
Overview / Summary
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Engineer to support axle assembly manufacturing operations in a fully onsite environment. This role focuses on continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, productivity, and manufacturing process optimization. The ideal candidate will have strong process engineering experience within a manufacturing environment and the ability to lead process improvement and equipment implementation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Support manufacturing process engineering activities for axle assembly operations
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, and productivity
Apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to improve manufacturing processes
Lead projects involving delivery and commissioning of manufacturing equipment
Conduct process audits to ensure compliance with operational guidelines
Perform ergonomic evaluations and implement corrective actions as needed
Analyze inventory and reject root causes and implement corrective actions
Develop process documentation and instruction sheets supporting quality processes
Deliver capable manufacturing processes and assembly operation tools
Lead resolution of machining-related concerns
Drive variability reduction and lean manufacturing initiatives
Ensure compliance with plant, corporate, governmental, and environmental standards
Identify throughput constraints and implement root cause improvements
Required Qualifications
5 years of manufacturing process engineering experience
Experience with:
Process Engineering
Manufacturing Engineering
Problem Solving
Process Validation
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Lean Manufacturing
Strong interpersonal, teamwork, leadership, and communication skills
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree

Lean Six Sigma
Assembly Lines
Gauge R&R and capability studies
