What are the responsibilities and job description for the Detention Officer position at Neosho County?
Neosho County has immediate openings for Detention Officers. The starting wage is $19.14 - $21.68 per hour, and is qualification dependent. Hours from 1800-0600 are an additional $1.00 per hour. County benefits include health insurance, paid leaves, KPERS retirement , uniforms, duty gear and paid training.
Applicants must be at least 18, possess a valid driver's license, and have a H.S. Diploma or GED. Other pre-employment requirements include a written general knowledge test, physical agility test, background check, and pre-employment drug screen. Applicants must have no felony convictions.
Prior Detention Officer experience may be eligible for 50% time credit of prior service credit towards salary determination.
