About the role:
NEOS Investments is seeking a highly motivated Investment Specialist to lead sales efforts across its Southeast territory, including Alabama, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
As a key member of the NEOS sales team, the Investment Specialist will be responsible for driving asset growth and expanding the firm’s presence throughout the territory. This includes developing new relationships, identifying and converting business opportunities, and deepening engagement with existing financial professional clients across wirehouses, independent broker-dealers, and RIAs.
Candidates may reside within the Southeast territory or be based in NEOS Investments’ Westport, Connecticut office. The role requires consistent engagement with financial professionals throughout the assigned territory through telephone, email, and virtual meetings.
Success in the role:
· Series 7 and Series 63 and/or 66 licenses required.
· Bachelor’s degree required; concentration in finance, economics, business, or a related field is preferred.
· 5 years of experience in financial services, investment management, or financial product sales, preferably in a business development or asset-gathering capacity.
· Understanding of ETFs and/or mutual funds, investment concepts, portfolio construction, and the broader asset management industry.
· Demonstrated ability to identify client needs, develop relationships, and effectively position investment solutions.
· Strong prospecting, business development, and relationship-management skills.
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate investment concepts to financial professionals.
· Highly motivated, results-oriented self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
· Collaborative and coachable team player with a willingness to incorporate feedback and continually improve.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize opportunities and effectively manage a large geographic territory.
· Proficiency with CRM systems, virtual meeting platforms, and other sales technology.
Desired Skills and Experience:
· Licenses: Series 7 and 63/66 are required.
· BA/BS degree required, emphasis on finance or economics is a plus.
· Possess an understanding of the ETF and/or mutual fund industry, financial concepts, product knowledge, investment management, and client-service strategies.
· Able to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation of NEOS products.
· Enthusiastic team player and self-starter who enjoys working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
· Coachable, able to incorporate constructive feedback, and willing to continually improve.
· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
· Technologically proficient and knowledgeable.
· Strong client relationship management, servicing skills, and internal corporate relationship management capabilities.
· 5 years of experience in the financial industry or sales with a financial services firm is preferred in a business development capacity.
