Summary
Serve as the university Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO) to the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). Design and lead accreditation project implementation and/or report development for required components of accreditation cycles. Prepare HLC Substantive Change Applications for new academic program approval or program changes. Serve as member of university teams preparing new academic programs. Develop/maintain appropriate accreditation analytics and documentation systems to support university and programmatic accreditation compliance. Serve as accreditation content expert and member of various specialized accreditation projects across the colleges (e.g., CODA, ACPE, LCME, ARC-AA).

Principal Functional Responsibilities
Institutional Accreditation Compliance: Ensure continuous compliance with institutional accreditation standards and related reporting (e.g., HLC Annual Institutional Update; institutional website requirements, program change screening forms, etc.). Provide project management for accreditation and related special initiatives. Develop and/or maintain appropriate accreditation documentation systems to support university and programmatic accreditation compliance. Serve as accreditation content expert and member of various specialized accreditation projects across the colleges (e.g., CODA, ACPE, LCME, ARC-AA, etc.). Continuously update knowledge about HLC accreditation requirements (e.g., attend HLC Annual Conference and online trainings).
Leadership and Management: Serve as designated university Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO) to the Higher Learning Commission (HLC), a required position that enables the HLC to have a single point of contact for communications to the university, in addition to the university president. Design and lead accreditation project implementation and/or report development for required components of the 10-year HLC Open Pathway cycle of accreditation. Manage university files and data in the HLC Canopy System. Manage the Institutional Accreditation budget index.
Academic Program Changes and Approvals: Prepare HLC Substantive Change Applications for new academic program approval or program changes. Serve as member of university or college teams preparing new academic programs for accreditation and/or required approvals. Lead the preparation of communications and materials required for new program approval by the Higher Learning Commission.
Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in higher education administration, institutional research, assessment, or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in institutional or specialized accreditation roles.
  • Proven expertise in designing and analyzing accreditation reporting and assessment frameworks.
  • Proven success in designing and managing long-term projects involving complex concepts and multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Thorough understanding of the organizational functions and resources within a post-secondary education health professions institution.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, including mentoring senior-level professional staff and providing guidance on accreditation requirements and compliance.
  • Basic understanding of digital survey platforms and tools.

Physical Requirements
Must be able to utilize a phone, computer and screen and other office equipment.
