Building and Grounds Supervisor

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Building and Grounds Supervisor to lead our facilities management team in maintaining a safe, efficient, and well-organized environment. This role is vital in overseeing the daily operations of building systems, grounds maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, mechanical knowledge, and experience managing industrial maintenance projects. You will play a key role in supervising maintenance staff, coordinating repairs, and implementing preventive maintenance strategies to support our manufacturing or industrial facility operations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of maintenance technicians and groundskeeping staff to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Oversee the operation and maintenance of building systems including HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), electrical systems (including high and low voltage), plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
• Conduct inspections of facilities to identify potential issues with electrical wiring, mechanical components, or structural elements; develop action plans for repairs or upgrades.
• Lead projects related to facilities upgrades, renovations, or new installations while ensuring safety compliance and budget adherence.
• Maintain detailed documentation of repairs, inspections, schematics, and system configurations.
• Collaborate with other administrators to plan maintenance schedules that minimize production downtime while maximizing operational efficiency.

Experience

• Proven supervisory experience in facilities management or industrial maintenance roles within manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience working with HVAC systems, electrical wiring (including high voltage), plumbing, and mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of safety standards related to lawn maintenance machinery and general facilities safety protocols.
• Demonstrated project management skills for overseeing facility upgrades or repairs from planning through execution.
