Project Manager – Utility-Scale Solar
Location: Virginia | Multi-State Projects
NEO Energy is partnered with a leading national electrical contractor to identify an experienced Project Manager for a major utility-scale solar project in Virginia, with additional projects planned across Maryland, New Mexico, Arizona, and Texas.
This is a site-based, hands-on role suited for a Project Manager who understands large-scale electrical scopes and enjoys being embedded in field operations.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for leading the electrical execution of utility-scale solar projects, ensuring safe, high-quality, and on-time delivery while managing cost, schedule, contracts, and client relationships.
Initial Project: Isle of Wight County, VA
Mobilization: Mid-January 2026
Rotation: 28 days on / 5 days off (weekends off)
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the electrical scope of utility-scale solar projects
• Drive performance across safety, quality, schedule, and cost
• Manage budgets, forecasting, contracts, and change orders
• Coordinate procurement directly with vendors
• Serve as a client-facing leader on site
• Provide leadership to field teams and subcontractors
• Travel as required and remain actively engaged in field operations
Candidate Profile
• Electrical background strongly preferred
• Utility-scale solar experience required
• Strong understanding of solar field operations and electrical construction
• Proven experience managing cost control, contracts, and change orders
• Hands-on leadership style with strong communication skills
• Comfortable with a rotational, site-based schedule
Compensation & Benefits
• Base Salary: ~$140,000–$180,000 (dependent on experience)
• Annual Bonus: Target 10%
• Per Diem: $150/day
