Our client, a well-established and highly respected consulting engineering firm, is seeking a Senior Plumbing and Fire Protection Engineer to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to a wide range of projects — from large-scale commercial and institutional builds to smaller, specialized developments — while providing expert technical leadership in plumbing and fire protection design.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design of plumbing and fire protection systems, including:

Domestic water systems

Sanitary drainage and vent systems

Storm drainage systems
-
Pumping and natural gas distribution systems

Special systems such as clean agent (gaseous) suppression

Perform system selections, develop preliminary designs, and prepare performance specifications

Conduct feasibility studies, sustainability assessments, and due diligence for existing facilities

Produce and revise technical documentation using AutoCAD and Revit

Ensure all designs meet local, state, and client-specific code requirements and standards

Collaborate closely with clients and project stakeholders to deliver innovative and cost-effective design solutions
What We're Looking For:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (PE license preferred)

Experience:

Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in plumbing and fire protection system design

Strong understanding of plumbing system applications, building codes, and drafting standards
