Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Observer to support a wide range of public infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with 5 years of construction observation experience who thrives in the field and enjoys working collaboratively with engineers, contractors, and public stakeholders.
The Construction Inspector will play a critical role in ensuring projects are executed in compliance with contract documents, specifications, and applicable codes.

Municipal, county, state, federal, and transportation authority projects
Key Responsibilities

Serve as Resident Project Representative and act as liaison between the Engineer and Contractor.

Monitor daily construction activities to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and contract requirements.

Attend pre-construction meetings and weekly progress meetings.

Document daily site activities, including labor, equipment, installed quantities, and field conditions.

Maintain accurate project records and prepare detailed daily reports.

Review contractor payment applications and provide recommendations to the Engineer.

Develop punch lists at substantial completion and assist with final inspections and project closeout.

Perform field inspections independently and as part of a project team.
Qualifications
Required:

High School diploma or equivalent
-
5 years of construction observation or inspection experience

Valid Driver’s License
Preferred:

Associate’s degree in Construction Technology, CAD, or related field

NICET Certification
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This position is primarily field-based and requires travel to project sites and regional offices. Work may involve exposure to varying weather conditions.
Physical requirements include:
