We are seeking a Professional Fee Abstractor to join our remote Revenue Cycle team. This role is ideal for experienced pediatric nurses or seasoned coders who bring clinical insight, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to accuracy. You will play a critical part in advancing Nemours Children’s clinical excellence by ensuring comprehensive, compliant charge capture — supporting our ability to expand programs, innovate new models of care, and provide exceptional services to children who need us most.

What You’ll Do
- Review physician documentation and ensure accurate, timely coding of all professional services using ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, HCPCS, and applicable modifiers.
- Maintain 100% charge capture accuracy through diligent review of EPIC Charge Review Workqueues and related systems.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, managers, and team members regarding documentation requirements and regulatory guidelines.
- Participate in provider education and training to strengthen documentation quality, revenue integrity, and compliance systemwide.
- Stay current with evolving coding rules, specialty-specific updates, and organizational best practices.
- Support Nemours Children’s strategic growth, including expanding clinical programs and operational capabilities across our Delaware campus and entire enterprise.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Active certification required: CPC, CCS-P, RHIA, or RHIT (CPC-A not eligible).
- Minimum 3–5 years of coding experience.
- Strongly preferred: pediatric experience and/or background in NICU, PICU, Orthopedics, or Cardiology.
- Proficiency with EPIC and coding software.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Exceptional attention to detail and clear, confident communication skills.
- Must reside in a state where Nemours Children's Health is approved to hire.
