Job Title: Accounts Payable Clerk
Pay: $24.04 - $28.85 per hour

Company Overview: Nemo Tile Stone is a 100-year-old regional distributor of tile and stone utilized in commercial and residential construction applications. The company is privately owned and headquartered in New York, NY, with bi-coastal locations in the United States. Due to increasing growth and recent acquisitions subsidiary organizations, the company has a need for an Accounts Payable Clerk.
Job Summary: The Accounts Payable Clerk, based on-site in Manhattan’s Flat Iron District at our Corporate office, is key member of our Corporate Accounts Payable team, which reports directly to our Corporate Controller. They will support the Accounts Payable function for Nemo Tile LLC, and will collaborate with their Purchasing, Accounts Receivable, and Transportation departments. With Nemo Tile LLC being the parent company of multiple subsidiaries, the person will be a key contact for their Accounts Payable functions well.
- Assemble, verify, file, and enter vendor invoices in a timely manner, as well as monitoring unvouchered PO balances.
- Utilizing bank application to process ACH, wires, and weekly Accounts Payable Run support.
- Set up and maintain vendor information within our accounting system. This includes contacts, payment preferences, and addresses.
- Enter and flag time-sensitive prepayments for the accounting team.
- Post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records.
- Monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
- Assist with month-end closing.
- Backup and support subsidiary Accounts Payable staff.
- Provide supporting documentation for audits.
- Confidentiality of organizational information.
- Correctly assign expenses to the appropriate department, and/or expense category.
- Reconciliation of our Travel and Expense credit card (Ramp).
- Weekly Bank reconciliation.
- Create and document SOPs.
- Ad hoc projects.
- Other duties as required for business needs.
Experience and Knowledge:
- 2 – 4 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Experience with bank reconciliations
- Experience with Ramp or Concur (or any T&E system) preferred
- Advanced Excel skills
- Epicor P21 ERP knowledge is a plus
