What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Engineer position at Nemak?
Objective
The Facilities/Project Engineer will be responsible for all facilities maintenance projects, as well as other manufacturing engineering projects for major manufacturing facilities.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage all facilities engineering projects (pumps, HVAC, air compressors, cooling towers, emissions control equipment, boilers, roofs, parking lots, fire suppression system, plant alarm systems, etc.).
- Establish project goals and develop timelines and budgets.
- Keep timing through open issues and MS Project.
- Maintain timing and costs.
- Installation of new equipment and work cells.
- Plant layout – lead and/or participate in improving workflow throughout the plant.
- Provide technical/engineering expertise to site maintenance system.
- Contribute to cross-functional continuous improvement initiatives for safety, on-time delivery, production efficiency and scrap reduction.
- Advise, assist and review all matters involving capital and major expenses.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred; Associates degree required
- At least 2 years relevant hands on experience with HVAC, compressors, cooling towers, pumps, boilers and facility maintenance
- Proficient in Microsoft Products
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
