Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients to support kitchen operations
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment through regular cleaning and sanitizing practices
- Support food running duties by delivering prepared dishes promptly to servers or directly to guests
- Handle food handling tasks in accordance with safety standards to ensure quality and hygiene
- Perform bussing duties by clearing tables, resetting kitchen areas, and managing waste disposal efficiently
- Assist with heavy lifting tasks using safe lifting practices when moving supplies or equipment
- Support in maintaining a safe and organized workspace by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Knowledge of food safety protocols and proper food handling techniques
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing
- Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and interact positively with guests
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus but not mandatory
- Prior kitchen or culinary experience, including banquet or hotel settings, is advantageous
- A proactive attitude with excellent customer service skills and a team-oriented mindset
