Mechanical Engineer
Nelson Pope is seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer to work in the Mechanical Electrical Plumbing Department in our Melville, New York office for an immediate start. The work includes design/drafting for HVAC, plumbing systems, electrical and fire protection for new building construction and renovation projects.
Responsibilities/Top Skills/Qualifications:
- support partners, project managers and senior technical staff
- preparation of permit, construction and bid documents
- proficient in AutoCad
- knowledge of Revit preferred
- site visits for field investigations and measurements
- shop drawing review
- detail oriented and commitment to producing high-quality work
- ability to work independently or in collaboration with a team
- proficient in Microsoft Office
- good communication, organizational & time management skills
