Duties
- Assist attorneys with case preparation, including drafting legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence with attention to accuracy and clarity
- Conduct extensive legal research using LexisNexis, Westlaw, and other research tools,
- Manage case files and documents utilizing document management systems like Clio and FileVine or SharePoint to ensure proper organization and timely retrieval
- Review and analyze legal documents for procedural compliance, accuracy, and relevance in civil litigation support and general & commercial litigation cases
- Support client communication by preparing summaries, transcriptions, and proofreading legal documents while maintaining confidentiality
- Assist with filing procedures both electronically and physically in accordance with court rules and regulations
- Coordinate project management tasks related to ongoing cases or legal initiatives to ensure deadlines are met efficiently
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a paralegal or legal support professional with 5 - 7 years personal injury case experience.
- Strong knowledge of procedural law, legal research techniques, and case management practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Westlaw, LexisNexis, Adobe Acrobat, and other legal support software tools
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence with attention to detail
- Associate degree or paralegal certificate (preferred).
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly while maintaining high standards of accuracy in document review and proofreading
- Experience supporting attorneys in litigation settings including civil litigation support and document management systems
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
