Nelson Lumber & Home is seeking a detail-oriented, people-focused Office Manager to help lead our administrative and HR functions. This role is central to keeping our day-to-day operations running smoothly while supporting our employee-owners and leadership team.

Position Overview
The Office Manager is responsible for overseeing office administration, supporting financial processes, and managing core HR functions. This includes employee onboarding, benefits coordination, policy administration, and serving as a primary internal resource for employee questions.
This role works closely with executive leadership and has meaningful visibility across all areas of the Company.
Key Responsibilities
Office Administration
· Oversee daily office operations and administrative workflows
· Maintain organized systems for records, documents, and internal processes
· Coordinate communication across departments and support leadership initiatives
· Ensure efficient handling of vendor relationships, supplies, and office needs
Human Resources
· Lead onboarding and offboarding processes
· Administer employee benefits, including health insurance and HRA program
· Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with applicable regulations
· Support payroll coordination and benefits deductions
· Assist in developing and maintaining HR policies and procedures
· Serve as a trusted point of contact for employee questions and concerns
Financial Support (in coordination with leadership)
· Assist with accounts payable/receivable processes
· Support reporting and internal financial tracking
· Coordinate with accounting systems and external partners as needed
Qualifications
· Experience in office management, HR, or administrative leadership
· Strong organizational and communication skills
· Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
· Comfortable working across multiple functions and priorities
· Experience with payroll, benefits administration, or accounting systems preferred
· HR certification or background is a plus, but not required
Compensation & Benefits
· Competitive compensation, commensurate with experience

Pay: $28.00 - $35.00 per hour
