Cashier Evening & Weekends

Duties include:

Customer Service:

· Welcome every customer with a timely greeting

· Offer friendly and courteous customer assistance directing customers to products during their visit

· Thank the customer for their visit each time

· Helps customer make selections by building customer confidence, offering suggestions when applicable

· Read customer cues and engage in conversation

· Personally, establish strong rapport with customers and vendors and demonstrate customers are always a priority

· Uniform is clean and personal hygiene is demonstrated

· Demonstrating a positive and upbeat attitude

· Show urgency when attending pumps and answering phone

· All uniforms, name tags and other clothing items provided are property of Rahn’s Oil & Propane. Uniforms are provided to you and needs to be returned at the end of your employment. A damaged item may be returned and exchanged for a replacement one.

· Cell phones- employees are expected to have their personal cell phones turned off or silenced and put away during work hours. Personal cell phones should only be used during breaks/lunches. Flexibility will be provided in circumstances demanding immediate or emergency attention that has been approved by the manager. Store managers can use their phones for business purposes during work hours or approved situations.

Hot Food Service Sales:

· Prepare products in Deli/Hot Stuff for customers to purchase

· Follows preparation charts and review all training materials provided

· Practice safety guidelines

· Practice all cleanliness and sanitation requirements-as required by FDA

· Prep tables properly stocked, labeled, dated according to standards

· Attention to detail in food presentation enticing the customer to buy

· Making correct labels for hot food items

· Hair pulled back and fully enclosed shoe

Store Presentation:

· Keeps store shoppable and appealing to our customers

· Keeps store and storage rooms organized with efficiency

· Maintaining a clean store following all checklist provided including dusting, mopping, sweeping etc.

· Stock shelves to maintain a full display facing product forward checking for expiration dates

· Stock coolers according to standards

· Keep all property free of garbage, litter and well presented

· Maintaining beverage station

· Stock and maintain coffee station

· Assist with store shipments

· Maintain live bait, stock, organize tackle

Operations:

· Complete daily open/close checklists

· Process payments by totaling purchases, processing checks, cash and credit transactions.

· Process end of day register balancing

· Lottery transactions

· License transactions-DNR

· Scan in vendor deliveries

Communication:

· Practice 2- way communication with store manager

· Communicate with store manager as first resource when dealing with issues or concerns

Physical Requirements:

· Standing (on feet) for longer periods of time

· Ability to lift to approximately 50 pounds

· Bending/Stooping/Reaching/Kneeling

· Motions involved when sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and shoveling snow.
