Position Overview
We are currently seeking a motivated Tax Intern to join our team for the upcoming tax season. This is an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a career in accounting or tax to gain hands-on experience in a public accounting firm setting.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of individual and business federal and state income tax returns
- Organize and analyze client financial documents and tax data
- Perform basic bookkeeping and data entry tasks using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel)
- Support staff accountants and CPAs with various client projects
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all client information
- Participate in internal training sessions and staff meetings as needed
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Junior or Senior preferred)
- Basic understanding of tax concepts and accounting principles
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with tax software is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Eagerness to learn and contribute in a professional office environment
Job Details
- Pay - $25-30/hour
- Flexibility on working hours (Part-time/Full-time, Seasonal)
- 20-50 hours/week during tax season
