Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Lead Low Voltage Technician that requires some travel with the home-based office located in Corinth, NY. The Lead Low Voltage Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of low voltage systems, including network cabling, security systems, audio/video systems, and other related technologies. The role includes interpreting blueprints, working collaboratively with team members, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring all work complies with relevant codes and regulations. Supervising and providing guidance to junior technicians will also be a key component of the job.
Qualifications
- Experience with installation and troubleshooting of low voltage systems such as network cabling, security systems, and audio/video systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications
- Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations, including compliance guidelines
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to troubleshoot and resolve system issues efficiently
- Proficient in using hand and power tools related to low voltage installations
- Effective team leadership skills, with experience supervising and mentoring junior technicians
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members
- A high school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in low voltage systems or related fields are a plus
- Prior experience working as a low voltage technician or in a similar role in electrical or telecommunications industries
- Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel nationally for up to 3 weeks at a time when required; travel is typically shorter.
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
