Registered Dental Assistant
We are a busy, multi-doctor general and cosmetic dental practice looking to hire a Registered Dental Assistant to join our dedicated and wonderful team! We are growing and looking to add a team member as one of our current dental assistants moves on to pursue dental hygiene school.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Prepare and tear down treatment rooms according to established procedures and protocols
- Welcome, comfort, seat, and prepare patients for dental treatment
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
- Provide post-operative and post-treatment instructions to patients
- Answer patient and employee questions and requests
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and maintain proper infection-control procedures
- Set up instrument trays and prepare dental materials
- Take alginate impressions, pour and trim models, and prepare cases for outside laboratories
- Assist dental hygienists when needed
- Perform coronal polishing
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming treatment environment
- Work collaboratively with the entire dental team to provide excellent patient care
- all other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Skills
High school diploma or equivalent
Registered Dental Assistant 1 year experience is preferred
Radiology Certified
Excellent communication and people skills
Team oriented
Organized
Ability to lift and carry up to 15 pounds
Ability to stand, sit, and move throughout the dental office for extended periods
