Overview
Join our laboratory as a Lab Analyst. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in laboratory techniques, data collection, and analysis of water, radon and cannabis. As a Lab Analyst, you will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and integrity of laboratory results while adhering to strict industry standards and regulations. This is an entry level position that includes sample preparation, basic analysis, data entry, microbiological analysis and data review. This position is Monday through Friday from 8am to 5 pm. We do not offer health insurance at this time. A couple hours on the weekends (Saturday or Sunday) is required about every 8 weeks one training is completed. A BS or BA is required for the analyst position. This position does require a background check and fingerprinting for the Maine Cannabis program.
Duties
- Perform a wide range of laboratory procedures including microbiology, wet chemistry, and other techniques of analysis.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data accurately to ensure compliance our current accreditations.
- Conduct routine inspections and quality control checks on samples, reagents, and equipment to maintain high standards of laboratory integrity.
- Maintain detailed documentation of results and observations using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
- Support other team members with sample preparation, reagent preparation and analysis.
Pay: $40,000.00 per year
