Position Summary:

The Sales Consultant is responsible for promoting and selling Nelson Alarm services and technology within the residential and commercial burglar/ fire alarm, access control and video surveillance products. This individual is responsible to provide our existing and potential customers with a total customized and integrated solution to their needs. This includes driving the entire sales process of quoting/bidding sales, negotiating terms and closing sales while generating profitable growth for the company. Integrity, vision, motivation and passion are essential for this role.

Responsibilities Include:

· Close company generated leads and create new market share through networking and developing relationships with new customer base.

· Upgrade and/or sell additional products, services and technology to existing customers that presents new sales opportunities.

· Maximize customer satisfaction and retention by ensuring that installation and service commitments are achieved.

· Maintain knowledge of complete line of products and services offered by Nelson Alarm. Stay current on relevant industry updates in order to respond effectively to commercial prospects.

· Ensures that all prospect inquiries are managed effectively and timely. Organize, maintain and follow up with customers in the pipeline.

· Complete contracts and other forms in accordance to company procedures and guidelines.

· Works with operations team to ensure timely completion of each job.

· Achieves sales targets and metrics set by the company.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree or two-year degree preferred but not required.

· Minimum 2-3 years of outside commercial and residential sales experience is required in the alarm and security industry.

· Knowledge of fire and burglar alarm systems, products, service and design. Familiar with national and local fire codes.

· Experience in bidding/ negotiating process.

· Must be self-motivated, ambitious, organized, team player with a persuasive and energetic personality.

· Ability to build and maintain customer relationships and provide self-generating leads via networking for new sales.

· Excellent organizational, listening, time management, oral and written communication skills.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new applications.

· Must have a valid driver’s license.

Salary : $60,000 - $120,000
