Toddler Teachers

Nellies Treehouse is located at 29 State Route 101A in Amherst and has just opened a second center at 365 South St. Milford. We strive to provide families and children a program that offers quality care and education. We use developmentally appropriate and play based practices to allow children to grow and learn at their own rate. Nellie's is licensed by the State of NH Child Care Licensing Unit. Serving at total of 113 children between the two facilities we strive to offer a professional and accountable environment that allows parents a sense of trust and security while away from their little ones.

Create and maintain positive relationships with families and children

Plan and implement hands on and developmental learning experiences to support all levels of learning

Engage children in learning and FUN

Maintain a safe and healthy learning environment

Work as a member of the classroom and the team

Provide positive guidance for children using positive behavior management techniques

Works under the center director

Achieve 18 hours of professional development annually

Maintain classroom paperwork

Share in cleaning responsibilities

Take part in meeting and trainings

Candidates should hold a minimum of 18 ECE credits or a Lead Teacher Certificate or an Associates or Bachelors Degree in ECE

Present a professional and positive image

Be at least 21 years of age

Responsible for understanding state licensing regulations

Able to pass background fingerprinting check

Be able to run, kneel and lift a child

Nurture children who need consoling

Good sense of humor

Good communication skills

Flexibility



Benefits apply to individuals working full time = 37.5 hrs weekly

Program pays up to 50% of individual insurance
