Responsibilities
- Perform digital X-rays (extremities, chest, etc.)
- Room patients and obtain vitals
- Assist providers with procedures
- Administer injections as permitted
- Enter orders and document in EMR

Duties
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Operate X-ray equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images, adhering to all safety protocols and radiation guidelines.
- Assist healthcare providers with medical procedures, including medication administration, specimen collection, and vital signs measurement.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, imaging results, and procedural notes within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
- Support clinical workflows by managing patient intake, updating medical histories, and assisting with triage in outpatient or inpatient settings.
- Ensure proper sterilization of equipment and adherence to infection control standards.
- Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology principles, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and basic life support (BLS) techniques.
- Assist with patient education on procedures and post-care instructions while providing compassionate service.
- Prior experience working as an X-Ray Technician or Medical Assistant in urgent care settings is highly preferred.
- Hands-on experience with X-ray imaging technology across outpatient clinics.
- Knowledge of dermatology procedures, medical-surgical environments, geriatrics care, or internal medicine an pediatrics is advantageous.
- Demonstrated competence in using EHR systems for documentation and ICD coding for billing purposes is required.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory; additional certifications such as CPR or radiologic technologist licenses are a plus.
