Responsibilities

  • Perform digital X-rays (extremities, chest, etc.)
  • Room patients and obtain vitals
  • Assist providers with procedures
  • Administer injections as permitted
  • Enter orders and document in EMR
  • Maintain clean and organized radiology area
  • Support front office when needed

Duties

  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Operate X-ray equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images, adhering to all safety protocols and radiation guidelines.
  • Assist healthcare providers with medical procedures, including medication administration, specimen collection, and vital signs measurement.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, imaging results, and procedural notes within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
  • Support clinical workflows by managing patient intake, updating medical histories, and assisting with triage in outpatient or inpatient settings.
  • Ensure proper sterilization of equipment and adherence to infection control standards.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology principles, ICD coding (International Classification of Diseases), and basic life support (BLS) techniques.
  • Assist with patient education on procedures and post-care instructions while providing compassionate service.
  • Prior experience working as an X-Ray Technician or Medical Assistant in urgent care settings is highly preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with X-ray imaging technology across outpatient clinics.
  • Knowledge of dermatology procedures, medical-surgical environments, geriatrics care, or internal medicine an pediatrics is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated competence in using EHR systems for documentation and ICD coding for billing purposes is required.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory; additional certifications such as CPR or radiologic technologist licenses are a plus.
  • Experience supporting clinic operations including intake assessments, vital signs collection, and patient service delivery will set you apart.
