Job Summary Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU), Extra Help positions are Part-Time, temporary opportunities (maximum of 900 hours of actual work in any consecutive 12 calendar months) available on an as-needed basis, dependent on departmental staffing needs. Extra Help positions are located on NEIU’s 3 campuses: Main campus, El Centro, or the Carruthers Center for Inner City Studies (CCICS). Important to note: while the NEIU posting remains active, there may not always be immediate open opportunities. NEIU STUDENTS: Active students currently enrolled in classes at the University are NOT eligible for Extra Help positions per the NEIU Handbook on Student Employment. Students are encouraged to explore other opportunities, such as Student Aide or Work Study roles! IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL: Be able to earn extra money while developing valuable skills and experiences. Extra Help positions support all NEIU colleges, and can lead to future job opportunities, internships, graduate school applications and more. Job Description Responsibilities: Departmental Special Projects General office work and clerical duties (filing, record keeping, data entry) Greeting visitors & students in a friendly, professional and timely manner Answering and directing incoming calls or emails Various other duties as assigned Minimal Qualifications High school graduation or equivalent.
