What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Litigation Attorney position at Neil Dymott Hudson APLC?
Neil Dymott Hudson APLC is a San Diego-based professional malpractice and personal injury-focused boutique defense firm with cases from San Diego to San Francisco. We are looking for a full-time Associate Attorney with 0-4 years’ experience for our downtown San Diego office.
NDH boasts two past Presidents of the San Diego Defense Lawyers, two Past Presidents with the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, multiple current executive board members in both local, regional, and national defense organizations, and a very strong regional reputation for its advocacy and trial skills. New associates are provided in-person training and mentoring by both shareholders and senior associates to prepare them for a career in litigation and trial (if desired).
NDH provides its Associates with files, not tasks. We offer you primary responsibility in case management, to include depositions, dispositive motions, and expert discovery. Client interaction is encouraged and trial experience is typical with the first two years. We offer a flexible schedule and WFH (depending on experience level).
The ideal candidate is/has:
- A Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school
- Admitted to the California Bar in good standing (or is post-bar pending admission)
- A willingness to work independently (with mentorship)
- Proactive with strong organizational and time-management skills
- Experience in conducting legal research and analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Salary range $100K - $135K. Full health/dental/vision benefits package and 401(k) with match.
