Role Description
Community Host (Night Shift)
Location: San Francisco, CA
Schedule: Overnight (typically 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM), including weekends and holidays

As a Night Community Host, you’ll be the warm and reliable presence for our guests while also ensuring smooth operations behind the scenes. You’ll combine hospitality, responsibility, and care to deliver both exceptional service and peace of mind throughout the night.
What You’ll Do/ Key Responsibilities:
Guest Care & Hospitality:
- Welcome and assist guests with late check-ins, early check-outs, reservations, and inquiries in a warm and professional manner.
- Handle guest requests, complaints, or emergencies with empathy and efficiency, ensuring every guest feels safe and supported.
Night Audit & Administration:
- Perform nightly reconciliation of daily hotel transactions, reviewing room charges, payments, and postings for accuracy.
- Process and verify guest payments, adjustments, and parking charges.
- Respond to guest emails and inquiries, and prepare daily reports for the next day’s operations.
Safety & Security:
- Monitor property security, ensuring all doors and access points are secure throughout the night.
- Maintain a vigilant and responsible presence on-site — sleeping during the shift is not permitted.
Operations Support:
- Prepare the front desk for the following day (organize reservations, print reports, etc.).
- Assist with light laundry pressing/ironing tasks, ensuring items are ready before 7:00 AM.
- Collaborate with the morning team for a seamless handover.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous front desk, hotel, or customer service experience preferred (training provided).
- Strong attention to detail and comfort with numbers (night audit payments).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in hotel management systems (PMS) and basic computer skills (Excel/Word).
- Reliable, professional, and committed to delivering hospitality at all hours.
- Food Handler Certification required.
Work Environment:
- Overnight shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM), including weekends and holidays.
- Requires standing for extended periods, occasional lifting (20–25 lbs), and handling sensitive guest information.
- A solo role at times — independence and responsibility are essential.
