Rise & Shine is a nonprofit afterschool and summer enrichment program dedicated to supporting economically disadvantaged youth through academic support, literacy development, and enrichment experiences. - Develop and implement an annual fundraising plan in collaboration with the Executive Director
- Identify and pursue new funding opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and individual donors
- Support grant writing, reporting, and tracking deadlines
- Donor Engagement & Stewardship
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners
- Execute donor appreciation strategies (thank-you letters, calls, impact updates)
- Assist with donor database management and tracking contributions
- Events & Campaigns
- Support planning and execution of fundraising events (e.g., Spring Fling, 30th Anniversary events)
- Assist in annual campaigns, including end-of-year appeals and online giving initiatives
- Coordinate sponsorship outreach and fulfillment
- Marketing & Communications
- Collaborate on storytelling and content creation for newsletters, social media, and donor communications
- Help elevate Rise & Shine’s visibility through community engagement
- Board & Community Engagement
- Support the Executive Director in engaging community members in fundraising efforts
- Attend occasional board meetings and provide development updates
- Represent Rise & Shine at community events and networking opportunities
- Utilize CRM software such as Subsplash, Bloomerang, and Mailchimp to track donations, manage databases, and generate reports for data collection and analysis.
- Write compelling proposals for grants and sponsorships to secure funding opportunities that support organizational programs.
- Oversee budgeting for development activities, ensuring efficient allocation of resources while meeting fundraising targets.
- Lead digital marketing initiatives including email marketing campaigns via Constant Contact and social media management to enhance visibility and engagement.
- Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to build lasting relationships with donors, partners, and community members.
- Strong research skills to identify funding opportunities through databases and other sources.
Pay: $19.23 per hour
