Welcome to the Neighborhood.

At Neighborhood Veterinary Centers (NVC), we believe every interaction — with clients, patients, and teammates — is an opportunity to make a difference. Our Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) are the first voice and the lasting impression for our clients. They are the communication bridge between our medical team and the families we serve, helping ensure each pet gets the time and attention they deserve.

We’re currently seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and compassionate CSR to join our Nederland location as we strengthen our client communication and response processes.

About the Role

This role goes beyond answering phones — it’s about connection, precision, and ownership. You’ll help manage our client inbox, keep appointments organized, and ensure that communication flows seamlessly between clients and our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Nederland clinic email inbox, including responding to client questions, record requests, and forwarding messages appropriately.
  • Review and send medical records to clients and other hospitals.
  • Audit the appointment schedule daily to ensure:
  • Deposits are taken and confirmed.
  • Records are attached and reviewed.
  • Clients have confirmed their appointments.
  • Time blocks are accurate and appropriate.
  • Appointments are categorized correctly (Doctor vs. Technician).
  • Support overall client communication and coordination to improve response time and service quality.
  • Collaborate closely with technicians and doctors to ensure clients receive timely, accurate information.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and values both accuracy and empathy in every client interaction.

Preferred Experience & Skills:

  • Previous experience in veterinary medicine is a plus — but not required.
  • Professional background in administrative support, executive assistance, account management, or front desk coordination highly preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including excellent grammar and professionalism in email correspondence.
  • High attention to detail, organizational ability, and multitasking skills.
  • Comfort managing appointment calendars and ensuring accuracy in scheduling and records.
  • A team player who communicates clearly and supports others.

Schedule & Employment Type

  • Full-Time or Part-Time available
  • Typical schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
  • One Saturday shift per month: 7:45 AM–12:00 PM
  • Standard shifts are 5x8s, with occasional flexibility as needed
