Recycling Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate pickup trucks with trailer through neighborhoods and tight roadways.,
• Manage the collection, sorting, and processing of recyclable materials in accordance with environmental compliance standards.
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and perform basic mechanical troubleshooting when necessary.
• Follow safety protocols diligently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to prevent accidents during outdoor work activities.
• Assist with warehouse management tasks such as site maintenance and sanitation efforts to uphold environmental standards.
• Maintain accurate records of material handling activities, equipment operation logs, and safety inspections to ensure accountability and regulatory compliance.

Experience

• 5 years driving experience.
• Experience with operating trailers preferred.
• Knowledge of recyclable materials handling is advantageous.
• Demonstrated mechanical knowledge related to equipment and vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting is beneficial.
• Outdoor work experience that includes heavy lifting and material handling in various weather conditions is desirable.
• Ability to follow safety protocols rigorously while maintaining efficiency in a fast-paced outdoor environment.
