What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Association Manager position at Neighborhood Management?
Great communities are built by great managers.
At Neighborhood Management, our Community Association Managers are trusted advisors to the Boards they serve. We believe the best managers are empowered with strong leadership, modern technology, responsive support teams, and the freedom to focus on what matters most: building and maintaining thriving communities.
Our Community Association Managers are supported by experienced accounting, administrative, and leadership teams so they can focus on serving their communities.
If you’re an experienced HOA professional looking for a company that invests in its people as much as its clients, we’d love to meet you.
What You’ll Do
As a Community Association Manager, you’ll oversee a portfolio of homeowner associations that may include single-family, townhome, and condominium communities. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for each Board of Directors while partnering with internal teams to deliver exceptional service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Build trusted relationships with Board Members by providing proactive guidance and professional management.
- Lead the day-to-day operations of your assigned communities.
- Prepare annual budgets, reserve planning recommendations, and financial analyses in partnership with our accounting team.
- Conduct regular community inspections and oversee covenant compliance efforts.
- Coordinate maintenance projects and manage vendor relationships.
- Solicit, evaluate, and present vendor proposals for Board consideration.
- Organize and facilitate Board meetings, annual meetings, and homeowner communications.
- Assist with insurance matters and claims as needed.
- Maintain accurate community records and documentation.
- Partner with internal departments to ensure homeowners receive timely, high-quality service.
What Makes You a Great Fit
We’re looking for someone who:
- Communicates confidently and professionally.
- Builds trust with Boards, homeowners, and vendor partners.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment while staying organized.
- Enjoys solving problems and thinking proactively.
- Takes ownership and follows through.
- Is adaptable, dependable, and accountable.
- Embraces technology and enjoys finding more efficient ways to work.
- Works well independently while collaborating with a supportive team.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2–3 years of HOA or community association management experience.
- Working knowledge of governing documents, association operations, and applicable federal and Texas laws.
- Experience with budgeting, vendor management, board governance, covenant compliance, and community operations.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and other business software.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
- Professional industry designations (CMCA®, AMS®, PCAM®) are preferred but not required.
What to Expect
This is a full-time, in-person position based out of our main office with regular travel to communities throughout the DFW area. You’ll spend time both in the office and in the field meeting with Boards, inspecting communities, and supporting association meetings and events.
A personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and current auto insurance are required. Evening Board meetings are a regular part of this role, and occasional weekend or overnight travel may be required.
