Role Description The Lead Preschool Teacher is a full-time, on-site role located in Delray Beach, FL. This position is responsible for planning and leading daily classroom activities that support the developmental, academic, social, and spiritual growth of preschool-aged children in alignment with the school’s Christian values and curriculum. The Lead Preschool Teacher designs and implements age-appropriate lesson plans, manages classroom routines, and maintains a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment. The role involves ongoing communication with families and colleagues, documenting student progress, and collaborating with the preschool leadership team to support school-wide initiatives. The Lead Preschool Teacher also mentors assistant teachers, ensures compliance with licensing and accreditation standards, and participates in professional development.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Early Childhood Education, including knowledge of child development and best practices for preschool learning.
- Demonstrated skills in Lesson Planning and Curriculum Development tailored to preschool and Kindergarten readiness.
- Excellent Communication skills for engaging children, collaborating with colleagues, and partnering with families.
- Experience preparing children for Kindergarten entry, including foundational literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills.
- Relevant education such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; state-required teaching credentials or certifications are preferred.
- Ability to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment consistent with the school’s Christian values.
- Experience in a preschool or early learning setting, with familiarity with accreditation and licensing standards.
- Strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to manage a classroom and lead a small teaching team.
