Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Grants Manager/Manager, Resource Development to lead our grant acquisition and management efforts. The ideal candidate will lead our efforts to establish and develop needed relationships with foundations, banks, corporations, and potential individual donors. This Manager is responsible for pre-award writing and coordination of funding applications, post-award support for staff in charge of grant-funded projects, and grants compliance/reporting and tracking.
Duties
- Actively seek, identify, and recognize external opportunities that present viable funding opportunities and match Company goals, priorities, and program needs..
- Lead Company efforts to establish positive Company relationships with foundations, banks, corporations, and potential individual donors including planning key staff meetings with funders, participating in marketing efforts to tell our story, planning site visits, and fund-raising related events.
- Write and submit grants. Where appropriate work with other staff and departments for input for such efforts and coordinate their role in the Resource Development process.
- Research, interpret, and disseminate information on federal, state, and private funding resources.
- Develop a strategic plan for the pursuit of philanthropic income that is based on the Company’s Strategic and Operating Plans.
- Develop and maintain a process to monitor and ensure award and grant compliance.
- Lead the creation and maintenance of systems (i.e., web site, social media, as well as 3rd party online databases and tools) for collection & dissemination of information about external funding opportunities and other grants-related information.
- Provide a full spectrum of assistance to Company staff in the planning, writing, program design, budget development, and evaluation of grants and other philanthropic income sources.
- Maintain a positive, proactive relationship with Company Operations and funding agencies to ensure full compliance and process efficiency.
- Serve as main company liaison with funding source program and contract officers.
Skills
- Proficiency in crafting a compelling agency story, researching and documenting rationale with the supportive statistics and related information critical to writing clear, concise, answers to grant questions and program framework.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and navigating the Internet.
- Strong research skills complemented by technical writing abilities for proposal development and grant reports.
- Experience writing grants and planning several months ahead for success in meeting all expectations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high attention to detail and competing deadlines for submission.
Pay: $60,000.00 per year
