What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at Neighborhood House?
Neighborhood House is seeking an Administrative Assistant that serves as a key support resource for the Finance and Human Resource functions of the organization from 9:00am-12:00pm, Monday-Friday.
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver with outstanding communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and exceptional attention to detail. This individual should have prior experience in an office environment, performing administrative functions and providing support to managers and leadership teams.

A high degree of professionalism and discretion is essential, as this role requires handling sensitive and confidential information related to organizational systems, employees, and business operations. A successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, maintain confidentiality at all times, and contribute to the efficient operation of the department and organization as a whole.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years of experience in an administrative role reporting directly to upper management
- Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
- Proficiency with office productivity tools and an aptitude for learning new software and systems, to include the Microsoft suite of services and Quickbooks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively interact and work with diverse staff and community
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
- Ability to maintain professional discretion
- Experience in overseeing budgets and expenses
- Experience in developing internal processes and filing systems
POSITION ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Administratively supports the following areas: executive, operations, human resources, and finance
- Collect, count, and receipt all monies received on a daily basis
- Process mail on a daily basis
- Submit billing for programs to grant sources, self-pay individuals, and third-party payers
- Monitor petty cash account and reconcile against receipts paid on monthly basis
- Submit invoices for payment to accounting firm
- Process mileage reimbursements on a biweekly basis
- Prepares bank deposits and make deposits on a weekly basis
- Assists with Recruiting and other HR tasks as assigned
- Assist with front desk operations
